Marriot Primary School: Marriot Road, Leicester

Orton was educated at Marriott Road School before taking a secretarial course at Clark’s College. He used to walk his youngest sister, Leonie, here most mornings.

‘When my mother used to walk me to school, she never used to hold my hand. But my brother did. And as a three year old, that meant a lot’.
